Commercial Description:
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

A good, enjoyable beer. Gets better as you drink it and it warms up. Really brings out the malt. Good stuff.

sweet malt aroma. Hazy golden color. very malty smell. A very demanding chewy beer but still very balanced and light. The coolest part of this beer is the bottlecap.

I think this was a bottle not stored well. The pour was great, nice orange color with a very generous and fluffy head that provided great lacing with foamy fingers. The aroma was somewhat skunky, although after a few minutes, I picked up some light spices. The flavor was like a cheap green bottled European import lager with some extra hopping and bready maltiness. Overall, very disappointing, as this wasn’t near my top oktoberfest experiences. Will have to try this one on draft in Munich one day to make up for what was likely a casualty of importation (even in a brown bottle).

Orange gold color with a very thick creamy head and lots of lace. Sweet and sour malt aroma with slightly bitter hoppy background. Sweet malt flavor with hoppy background and a bitter hoppy finish. This beer is surprisingly light and smooth with a dry finish.
