Commercial Description:
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Hazy orange with a big, fluffy head when poured into my Lager glass. Very malty, nutty nose. Pleasant tingle on the tongue with sweet, toffee maltiness. Very good Fall beer.

This beer is so good it was so fresh. I had it off a keg at a festival. Really enjoyable. Golden in color. Little sweet. Well balanced by malt and hops. Not a overpowering beer. If you are a fan of the fall and octoberfest, then get this beer.

Pours with an abundant white, creamy and rocky foam. Complex aroma of apricot, prune juice, loads of caramel, and copper notes. Medium-full palate. Toffeeish firmness is lacking slightly. Notes of peach, straw, prunes, and perfectly balancing hop tinge. One of the best made Marzens available.

Very cloudy light amber color with a huge foamy head. Bottle was sedimented? Light caramel and toffee notes in the aroma. Sweet flavor, but restrained a bit, with nice caramelized flavors and some yeastiness. Smooth and just a little flat. Light alcohol warming in the finish. Bottle was of unknown age, possibly detracting from the flavor.

Pour copper with a nice sized off white head. Aroma is bready toffee and caramel malt. It is rich, but not as sweet as most oktoberfests. Medium / full body with a decent amount of carbonation. Starts with toffee and caramel, rich biscuity like malt. The finish has some hoops adding spice. There is a linger mix of toffee and spice. This is an excellent example of the Marzen style.

500 ml bottle - Pours a hazy copper color with a big, lasting head. The aroma is malty, along with the yeast and a hint of hops. It’s medium bodied, smooth, and has a lightly sweet flavor with good balance. The finish is clean with light hops. This beer is a very nice quality Marzen.
