Aroma puts on a malt clinic - caramel and roasted malts smell exquisite, and are joined by peppered grain, cornucopia and chestnuts. Flavor leads in with sweet caramel and almond butter. Corn husks, grain and roasty malts are omnipresent with toning contributions from toffee and butterscotch. Sweet and medium to full bodied. Spritsy, solid and well balanced, finishing like caramel corn. One of the best Oktoberfests I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. sebletitje (1925), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2006 Bottle. Pours a somewhat light copper with a big, rocky, offwhite head. The aroma is grainy with some lemon and cookiedough. It has a deeply grainy flavor with quite a bit of caramel, some hints of orange, and after a while a molasses-like sweetness. It’s mostly kind of sweet, but the finish has some woody and smoky tones. Not bad. swoopjones (1915), Buffalo, New York, USA
