Bottle actually foamed over when I opened it. Good sweet malty aroma with a touch of smoke. Nice full body delivers a good malty sweetness throughout and some graininess. Finishes crisp, lightly bitter and dry. A very nice Oktoberfest. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA

I figured I should consume this one since it’s been sitting in my cellar since September. JoeMcPhee (5030), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 29, 2006 500 ml bottle. Deep orange-amber beer. Gorgeous deep malty aroma, bread, light caramel and kettle caramelized/decocted richness. Herbal/spicy hop flavour over a soft toastiness. Flavour is well-balanced and very clean with sweet bready malts and softly spicy noble hops perfectly mingling. Perfectly quaffable... I could drink about a dozen of these. ¾ (5003), Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 31, 2004 Bottle. Bright and clear golden orange color with a just off-white head. Light nose of fall leaves, grains, whole wheat bread, a little bit of overripe apples and pears. A bit of a bite of hops near the finish, after a decent presentation of semi-sweet apples, wheat, slight vegetables and honey. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 22, 2005 Beautiful pour - a bright amber with lazy carbonation and a pillowy head. The aroma is of fresh baked bread with a honey glazing. This is creamy in the mouth, almost to the point of being chewable. The flavor is toasty and sweet with a touch of herbal hops appearing near the finish, which is sweet but clean. An excellent Oktoberfest. I’ll be having more of these shortly.

Lacks toasted flavors which I fell are essential to this style - but still a very good beer. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 22, 2003 Pellucid amber/golden color with not much head. Aroma is very malty with a suprising hoppy presence. Flavor is lightly sweet with a dominant malt background. Finishes salty and rounded. This is chasing an Imperial Stout and a 120 minute IPA, so it's difficult, bare with me. Tmoney99 (4783), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
