A very nice mix of malts then hops. Not sure if this is a real marzen as it lacks the burnt carmel taste but it is still good. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 22, 2003 Nice gold-amber color with a thin film of head, spotty lace. Bitter citrus aroma, some malt showing up. Sweet malts and a bit of doughy/yeast in the flavors. Nice palate. Pretty good marzen. Dorwart (1831), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 29, 2003 Nice thick head that does not last long. Slightly acidic aroma with hints of tomatoes, hops and malt. Nice deep amber color with ok carbonation. Body is a medium. Flavor is slightly sour with hops, malt presence. Alcohol is also not present in the taste. Finish is slightly bitter and coats the mouth without being creamy. An ok beer but a little too acidic for my tastes. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA

This has the most wonderfully malty earth aroma...it’s incredible. Very very good, and normal Octoberfest/Marzen, in the taste dept, including a very slight souring when warming. Delicious and very very fresh. Buy it now, not next month. thornecb (1813), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Bread and caramel aromas. Upfront medium, creamy sweet caramel with a bitter, lasting finish. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 27, 2005 Bottle. Nice dark yellow/light orange body with a foamy lasting head. Nose is very sweet and reminds me of the smeel of malt extract-not a bad smell. Taste-spice, very woody, sweet malts, medium citric hops, caramel, honey, straw, and toasty. Very slight biterness on the backend that is very nice. A really, really good beer. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA
