Commercial Description:
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

500ml bottle, great Ayinger bottle cap! Clear amber lager, with a large eggshell white head, that its thick and luxuriant. Nice carbonation strings. Great creamy toffee malt aromas, slightly toasty. Malty semi-sweet caramel start, longer semi-bitter finish and a slight hint of hops in the after taste Very nice palate, just rolls over the tongue , but is not in the least boring. But makes for a drinkable brew indeed.

Decent sized head. Aroma and taste are one in the same....sweet and woody...very typical of the style, but on the upper end of it.

Brown in ciolour with no head and nice lacing, Wheaty nose sweet almost citruicy, the flavor was complex and hard for me to pin down exactally what the flavor was. All I can say is that it is sweet bust till light and slightly hoppy.

Pours golden/orange crystal clear with a big loose head. Earthy and grassy aromas. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavor has a slight nuttiness and an even more slight charcoal flavor. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Smooth and medium bodied. Easy drinking.

Light colgen clear color with a nice thick white head. Aroma is a fresh malt smell and a bit of fresh tomatos. Palate is very relaxed and has no bite whatsoever. Flavor is a subtle malt with light sweetness, and a decent ending caramel flavor.

Had a liter of this at gingermans in a über stein that I ganked. Light brown pour, mellow notes of caramel and earthy malts. A nice way to celebrate Oktoberfest.

wonderful aroma of the farm during harvest. so well balanced with slick caramel sweetness and (thanx austone) buttery taste and mouthfeel. malty and full of grains with slight fruitiness just barely present and a perfect moderate alcohol content that is soft and not at all weak. just right for the season and one of my perfect pints.

On tap @ WL Beford Hts., 16 oz tapered mug: Very cloudy light amber w/ a lasting, well lacing, off white head. Aromas of bready malts, raisiny fruits from mix of malts and fermentation, clean of other off aromas. Well balanced overall, clean, lightly sweet finish, with toasty malt flavor throughout lasting into the aftertaste. Low carbonation level, smooth medium body. Not my favorite O fest, but likeable enough!
