Commercial Description:
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Couldy orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma is floral and malty as the description says. Has a predominant toasted malt taste followed by some hops, and a slight caramel raisin taste with some spice. I love malts and I love this bad boy. I wish I could get this at a decent price.

pours light amber with a thick foamy off white head. Aroma is light grassy hop over a nice bready and cookie toned malt, sweet and toasty. Flavour is nice and smooth. Medium bodied sweetness, bready again with light spice cookie hints. somewhat dry finish.

(Teerenpeli, Helsinki). Very good amber looks, almost champagne like bubbles. Toasty and bready, malty and tasty. Some paper and cartboard, but not in a bad way. Dry and tasty, very good.

I never met a Marzen I didn’t like. That said, I had a bottle of this after work. This brew pours a hazy honey color with floaties. The fully lasting large creamy off-white head has excellent lacing. The balanced and pleasant nose hints of dark bread, cereal, herbs, spruce, citrus, earth, pineapple, honey, spices and alcohol. The moderate balanced sweet then bitter flavor is not astoundingly complex, but is very nice. The medium soft dry body is on the edge of creaminess, and finishes moderately alcoholic. I love this style. I love this brew.

Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of roasted, and bisquit, light herbs for the hops, light yeast notes of leather and earth, with backround notes of butter, honey, and faint spice. Head is large, frothy, slightly off-white, with fair lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is clear orange/tan. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic then finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a lively carbonation and finishes lightly metallic. This was a tough beer not to down in a few gulps. Great tasting and easy drinking.

Pours an off-white head with some lace and a clear, pale amber body. Aromas of grassy hops and toffee. Flavor is butter, caramel, corn, malt. Dry finish.
