Commercial Description:
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

A decent light copper color and off white head start off this brew. Nose is very much dominated by the malt, and needs the addition of some other elements to improve. Flavor is also quite malty, and a little sweet as well. Also a nice crispness to this one. Overall, a nice beer, but far from a great one.

500 ml. bottle. Pours a thin white head, over a slightly cloudy Pale amber (SRM 8-9) body.....nose is very malty, with cereal, carmel, some spice notes....tastes primarily of sweet malts, with soft caramel, toffee, cereal, somewhat sweet throughout....mouth feel is light and soft, carbonation low. Meets the style exactly.

Mmmmm malty sweetness. Smells like an autumn beer should and the hops were not overwhelming. I’d love more.

Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a decent off-white head. Aroma is bready and fruity with a bit of caramel in there. Palate seems slightly thin. Nice sweetness.

light orange with quickly disapperaring large white head. flavor is very subtle, the malt character is of a very mild but pleasant caramel malt. the bitterness is stronger than I expected and is a little distracting. not as good as i had imagined, only a decent marzen

(Draft @ GM, HOU): Pours an amber body, orange. Whitish head, small, diminishing. Malty sweet aroma, fruity. Not very strong. Fruity, flowery, malty. Some light fruity, malty taste.

Pretty good. Cloudy amber color. Not enough hops to overwhelm the sweetness. Big malty flavor.

Golden pour with thick foamy head. Grainy yeasty aroma. Taste is of sweet malt with only a hint of floral hops.
