Commercial Description:
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Golden pour with thick foamy head. Grainy yeasty aroma. Taste is of sweet malt with only a hint of floral hops.

500ml bottle. Pours a hazed golden-yellow body with a finger-width, white, fizzy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a good amount of lacing. Aroma is malty sweet with notes of apricot and lemon. A mild toffee-cookie with some biscuit, yeast, and a very light grassy hop. Flavor is also malty with a moderate sweetness. Fresh bread and yeast, a light grassy hop, and lots of floral fruits. That toffee-cookie comes back and yields a hint of toast and honey towards the finish. A soft dryness as advertised after a very smooth, medium body. Lots of pleasant malts in the aftertaste along with some fruits, straw hops, and a light toasty cookie. Overall, a very tasty, well balanced, all-around good beer. Solid.

A smooth and refreshing, malty brew with some hints of citrus and a small measure of hops. Easy to drink, but at the quantities that is consumed for the intended season I would assume it was designed that way. A good example of the style, very nice.

The first sip of this beer, I really didn’t like it, but it started o grow on me. Not a bad beer, but not an Oktoberfest I will grab again anytime soon.

Cute cap. Rust / orange colored pour with a plush head and spotty lacing. Aroma is mild and sweet, with noticeable yeast and Mitteleuropean hops. The flavor is fresh, malty, and bready, but with a little corny sweetness. Modestly hopped and light on the palate. A good beer of its kind.

500 ml bottle. Pours a light, hazy, orangish, amber in color with a large foamy white head. This brew has a huge caramley sweetness, no hop, all malt. It has a full body, and a cloying finish.

On tap at Firkin’s, Libertyville, IL and bottle from Armanetti’s, Mundelein, IL. Tried both versions - both equally great. Clear orangey amber hued beer with average, white head and good lacing. Light caramel with fruity ester aroma. Soft carbonation. Light-to-medium bodied that starts with smooth creamy, slightly sweet malt flavor and finishes on dry-side with slight hop flavor. Well-balanced. A truly great Oktoberfest/Marzen, one of my favorites.

Malty grainy aroma with touch of spicy hops. Mostly clear orange amber with small white head. Nice malt profile in flavor. Sweet with touch of almost orange citrus notes. Medium body and mouth feel. Finish is malty with touch of residual bitterness. Very Tasty
