Commercial Description:
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

I liked the light amber colour of this one, likewise the good-sized white head. Aroma was of both malt and hops. The taste was again malt and hops, nicely balanced, crisp, clean, and refreshing.

Nice clear orange and amber beer with a big tan head. Malt and spice along with a hint of lemon and citrus hop aroma. It’s got a somewhat wheaty and roasted taste and is also tangy and dry.

Aroma of stale beer. Taste of malt and bread dough. Some subtle non-discript fruit undertones. Nice and beery if that makes any sense to you, nice for fall.

Pours an orange tinted golden with a small, but persistent white head. Great sweet roasted malt, tofffee, banana, and a nice roasted nuttiness on the nose. Great full creamy mouthfeel with a good dose of spicing, like maybe nutmeg....or......hell I don’t know, but it is pleasant nonetheless.. Nice light floral hoppiness finishes out the palate carrying a light dose of heat. Very nice and exactly what I would expect from Ayinger.

Pours a orangish copper in color. There is a huge, fluffy white head on the pour. Not a lot in the nose of this beer at all. Taste is lots of malt. There’s a hint of nut and spice in the flavor. Very creamy on the mouthfeel and very easy drinking. This one will be gone before I realize it.

Draught @ Kaunis Kampela, Helsinki. Burnished gold color, thick white head. Malty aroma with some wood. Smooth malty flavor with noticeable bitterness. Not a bad märzen at all, but somehow the flavor didn’t entice me completely.

The bubbles emerge from the base, then slowly dance gracefully yet timid neck, only to ensure the everlasting foam...."word"-Millla...roasted malt aromas ..dense thick head...seasonally beautiful...."damn she tastes good against the wall ....she likes the style..but only once in a while...."-Funk....."dancing on the neck"......

A- Pours a clear dark orange hue with amber tones, huge craggy off-white head that settles down to a thin layer, moderate lacing S- Nose is moderate bread/biscuit malts and yeast, hints of caramel, spices, and slight citrus hops, very refreshing T- Initial taste is sweet and rich malts with an overall bready flavor, transitions to grain and nuts (pecans), finishes with slight hop bitterness that resolves quite quickly M- Light-to-medium body, creamy texture with lively carbonation D- Nicely balanced marzen that seems to capture the essence of the traditional ’octoberfest’ style, very easy-to-drink with a robust taste profile
