(quite large for a marzen) is a bit limony and sweet and of caramel. also many some notes of nutes and toffee. Mouthfeel is pretty mouthcoating and very sweet. The alcohol content while it is moderate is pretty will hidden and its only appearence is in the aftertaste which has a bit of an acidic bite. Great marzen nonetheless. I might add this beer probably is even better when fresh. jhumphries69 (730), Tyrone, Georgia, USA

Aroma is largely malts (very doughy) - lots of caramel, hints of fruit (raisins, dried apricots). The beer tastes quite malty, with a very balanced level of hop bitterness. It starts sweet on the tonge with lots of malts and caramel and has a very bubbly mouthfeel. The beer finishes sweet with some hop bitterness. A fine example of the style. sblair (37), SD, California, USA

A great Vienna style lager. Crafty07 (392), Florence, Kentucky, USA

I can’t descibe it better than the commerical description, ’lightly sweet with a malty nose, balanced with floral hops and soft dryness’..
well done. Drink4Satan (586), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Pours a clear caramel colour with a dense white head that fades to a small cap. The aroma is sweet roasted malts, ripe fruit, caramel, light peat, honey and a hint of barnyard funk. The flavour is lightly sweet roasted malts and bready malts with yeasty and peppery overtones. The tingly, thin palate and long, mildly bitter and spicy finish make this one very drinkable. To me, this is what an Oktoberfest should be. It is subtle, refined and reminds me of flavours from the autumn harvest. CanIHave4Beers (905), Des Moines, Iowa, USA

Pours a bright orange with a big fluffy head. The aroma has some faint apricot, some anise and some nuttiness, a complex bouquet that keeps your nose in the glass. The flavor is very malty with some horehound, some saltiness, and plenty of noble hop bitterness, much like the aroma the flavor of this is wonderfully complex.
