| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 15, 2007 Pours an orange tinted golden with a small, but persistent white head. Great sweet roasted malt, tofffee, banana, and a nice roasted nuttiness on the nose. Great full creamy mouthfeel with a good dose of spicing, like maybe nutmeg....or......hell I don’t know, but it is pleasant nonetheless.. Nice light floral hoppiness finishes out the palate carrying a light dose of heat. Very nice and exactly what I would expect from Ayinger. kevd193213 (512), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA

Fantastic taste of malt and sugar with that familiar Oktoberfest sharp finish. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 18, 2007 500ml bottle. Pours a very dark amber body with a huge, fluffy light tan head. German beer never fails to impress in the appearance department. It just looks like a beer should. On the nose I get spicy hops, sweet malt notes, biscuit dough, grapefruit, lemon zest and floral notes. Fore is lightly astringent, with the hops and bready notes dominating. Back of the tongue brings more malt sweetness into play, as well as the citrus hints. Palate is creamy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet bread dough and hops, medium length and refreshing. Great beer. conor23 (110), Elgin, Illinois, USA

Pours a beautiful copper/golden color with a thick foamy off-white (almost tan) head. Absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful malty notes and a sweet malty flavor that is exquisite on your palate. Loved it. If you look at my other reviews of Ayinger beers, you’ll see that I’m a huge fan of their brews. This one is no exception. Highly recommended. cmillward (437), Orlando, Florida, USA

Nice caramel, soft toasted malts, some fruit and a touch of spicy hops. Toasty sweet malts, slight fruits, a touch of alcohol at it very warmest, earthy hop finish. Very smooth, lush mouthfeel. Very drinkable.
