Commercial Description:
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Aroma of this brew is pleasant, consistent with the style, forecasting nice toasty malt. Beer pours very light brown almost copper, but lighter with a big fluffy off-white head that is retained. There is some lacing. Flavor follows up the style. Flavor is initially sweet, with a little toast. Tasty.

A lot better than I expected. A little bit bitter, but nice flavor and appearance.

Bottle 500ml. Pours amber gold with very fine haze. Neat large creamy head on top. Fine fresh grassy hop aroma, candy sweet malts beneath, rose somewhere between. Very soft texture, a bit of rye bread and sweet pale malts. Good gentle bitters at edge, maybe just a bit too creamy to claim its greatness.

On draught at the Winking Lizard Tavern in Columbus, OH. This beer is a hazy bright amber color with a medium off-white head and nice lacing. The aroma is a fair amount of malt along with a bit of hops. Medium-bodied with a lot of malt from the get-go. The beer does seem to get a little spicier and hoppier toward the end of the glass. The finish is light and a little hoppy. This is a good seasonal from Ayinger.

Copper-orange coloured beer with firm beige head. Malty aroma with tones of citrus and herbs. Firy flavor with caramell and almond tones. Dry with a firm bitterness.

Pours a clear bronze golden with a large white head. Bottle actually foamed over when I opened it. Good sweet malty aroma with a touch of smoke. Nice full body delivers a good malty sweetness throughout and some graininess. Finishes crisp, lightly bitter and dry. A very nice Oktoberfest.

Hazy orange with a big, fluffy head when poured into my Lager glass. Very malty, nutty nose. Pleasant tingle on the tongue with sweet, toffee maltiness. Very good Fall beer.
