Nice nose here. Malt shines through with plenty of ripe red apples, caramel, bready malts and noble German hops.
Lovely, quite fruity, mainly apple and dark fruits, with malt notes of bread and light caramel. Quite sweet as well. The hops seem perfect in this. Impressive. jtxx (141), san antonio, Texas, USA

Beautiful orange color with small white head..I could drink this all day. Lisa, working at the Flying Saucer, makes this more enjoyable. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA

I figured I should consume this one since it’s been sitting in my cellar since September. footy (334), scottsdale, Arizona, USA

Aromas of biscuity malt, carmel and a hint of n9oble hops in the background.Palate was medium to full bodied. Flavors of toasted malt, carmel and just a hint of hops with a smooth dry lingering malty finish. This is one MALTY mother of a beer! Ughsmash (4042), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 6, 2007 Bottled. ’tis the season! Poured a clear, brilliant lighter orange with a nice cap of rocky white head. The aroma had a soft floral dusting over a a toasty caramel base.. some dry leafy accents and faint peppery notes round it out. The flavor stayed the course with a sweet, toasty caramel core with floral notes, light fruit, and dried leaves providing a mild and complimentary bitterness. Light-medium bodied and really fills out over the middle.. sweet toasty finish was very nice. This was a very well-crafted beer! JoshuaB (427), Detroit, Michigan, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 21, 2005 Nice translucent copper with huge foamy white head. Lots of bubbles as well. Nose is somewhat quiet, but has a nice nutty note and maltiness to it. Much more flavor than nose. Initally pretty malty and somewhat sweet, but not overly so. Some notes of toast and almonds are apparent. Finishes with crisp hops and a tad of the accompanying bitterness. You know its fall when you see this on the shelf. Solid brewer. Bready, grainy nose. Chewy mouth feel with full flavored hops and malts balance. Slightly spicy and noticeably sweet. This is what an Oktoberfest should taste like, I suppose.
