Jul 2, 2006 Updated: Jul 4, 2006I thought this was very good for the style. Pours a hazy amber. Malty aroma. Flavor of malt with hints of fruit and caramel. Nutty flavor and easy to drink. Tasty brew, I could drink a lot of this.

Sep 17, 2007 Draught at Old Brick’s Inn, Jyväskylä. Copper to amber color with creamy head. Sweetish, toasty and toffeish aroma. Very rich malty flavor with toasty, nutty and caramelly notes. Mild bitterness, just enough for a balance. Very good maltiness, good beer with various foods.

Feb 22, 2009 Poured amber in color with a creamy, off-white head that settle to a thin cover and left light lacing. The aroma was of caramel, spices, and a light roast. The flavor found chocolate and spices. Light body with a malty aftertaste.

Jul 2, 2008 I’m a little biased toward the taste of marzens, and also to almost everything ayinger puts out, but again, good amber color, sweet aroma, solid taste, good finish.

Aug 31, 2007 orange copper color with a medium sized head. strong malty orange aroma with light soy sauce note, and a good roasted quality. soft chalky body and light full bubbles. complex honey maple flavor and a light yeast flavor. the beer is a lot easier drinking than it looks and smells.

Mar 5, 2009 500 ml, 5.6% abv. Clear, burnt orange-amber with a quarter inch of frosting above. Aromas of grilled corn, sweet cherry, apple, cereal grain and hay. Flavor is caramel with a sour tint, hearty toasted grain and light apple. Finish is crisp and grassy-woody. Medium body is smooth, tongue-tingly and slightly astringent. Creamy lace left on the glass.
