Jan 31, 2008 Had this at the Ayinger am Platzl, Munchen, Germany 26-01-08 A good clean tasting light golden pilsner that was really fresh and crisp, don’t normally go for Pilsners that much but this I’ll make an exception for.

Nov 9, 2007 Draught at the Brauereigasthof in Aying. This was a great night. After bumbling our way around the sleepy town of Aying only to find the brewery seemingly abandoned we end up at the center of town, and the Ayinger hotel. Amazingly the owner and his wife are their for dinner and she greets us politely at our table. We had never felt so at home on our vacation. The nice pils was just gravy. Poured a pale golden with a big foamy lacing head that clung to the glass. You could smell the fresh flowery hallertau hops pouring out of the glass and the effect in the mouth was crisp and effervescent with a grassy hoppy flavor. A nice pils.

Oct 26, 2007 Really great aroma on this one. Good session type beer, light, refreshing and fairly low in alcohol. Hints of citrus, the hops aren’t too overwhelming though. A solid pilsner.

Oct 23, 2007 Bottled at a cafe on Marienplatz. Pours clear golden with a yellow tight frothy head. Nose of malts and hops is balanced well. Flavors are malty grains and light hops. Nicely bitter and balanced really well. A decent helping of hops here make this probably the best pils i’ve had.

Jul 7, 2007 Bottle, 0.33l. Pale golden coloured. A small white head. Modest fruity and hoppy aroma. Carbonated. A pleasant fruity flavor. A sourish bitter aftertatse. An OK pilsener.

Jul 4, 2007 330ml bottle from a minibar at hotel Hachinger-Hof. Citric to the nose. Pale golden body under a moderate white head. Grassy hops in flavour combined with taste of grapefruit and lemon shells. Dry finish. Very refreshing on a hot summer day in the outskirts of München. For a Norwegian it is indeed surprising to find a pilsener like this(16.06.2007).

Apr 20, 2007 Draught: Poured a golden yellow with a froathy white head. The was a nice hoppy grassy aroma. Harvest flavor is fresh and crisp.

Apr 4, 2007 Botle - pours golden yellow. Now this is a strange tasting pils, with some actual flavor, hoppy and grassy. Not my favorite but interesting.
