Jul 4, 2004 MGC under a medium size medium lasting white head. Mild herbal hops aroma. Light slightly watery body. Very low sweetness, mild woody bitter hoppy flavours. Subtle and should not be rated after a dozen or so Belgian strong ales as we have just attempted to do.

Jun 9, 2004 Very pale yellow, almost green color with a large, pillowy, cloudy and lacy head. Hoppy citrus aroma. Hoppy pils flavor. Quite carbonated, crisp, slicky and light-bodied palate. A nice and refreshing pils. Had this at a quite cold terrace, so should probably re-rate when warm enough.

Body is clear light yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain), moderately hoppy (herbs, grass). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.

Jan 20, 2004 Draught at Cittie of Yorke (Sam Smith pub), Holborn, London. Similar to the lager, which I tried immediatly beforehand - though less fruity, and with more of a white spirit quality. Not outstanding: plain, but quite crisp. Some cider and malt (perversely). No aroma, no head, no lacing.

Sep 20, 2003 Pours a clear straw, very minimal head. Wet malty aroma, a bit of cardboard and some sour wine. . . Light apple flavour that turns sour on the back of the tongue. No real assemblence of hops, but not a horrible flavour.

Sep 3, 2003 On the one hand a lot of serious beer drinkers have a hard time taking pilsener seriously; on the other, they definitely should because there are examples that are very interesting and rewarding. Unfortunately...not this one. Hops definitely there, driving a wood cask-like, musty aroma, with a grassy finish. Rich, yellow color, attractive in its own way, and a lack of bitterness made it decent in the end, but still no cigar. (on tap, Ludwig's Garten, Philadelphia)
