Commercial Description:
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

500 Ml Bottle-Trade w/after4ever-pours a cloudy golden color w/a slight white head. Sweet, banana aroma. Sweet flavor of wheat, banana, green apple, orange peel, bread dough, colander, vanilla, & pepper. Had a lot of carbonation to it. Very easy to drink, very enjoyable. Long yeasty finish, a real winner. Thanks Tom!

Bottle. Hazy dark orange colour with a large off-white head. Sweet, yeast, banana and malt in the nose. The flavour is sweet, banana, malt, yeast and kinda fruity. Mouthfeel is quite smooth and medium-bodied. A very good weizen.

Opaque golden-brown, nice foamy white head lasting. Banana, pepper, and wheat rule the sweet nose. Similar flavor, not quite as potent. Palate is a little thin and very short. Too sweet and simple, but this is still somewhat enjoyable.

A- Pours a cloudy and hazy brown/orange hue with a small creamy head that is mostly sustaining, lacing falls down the glass and back into the beer S- Nose is characterized by strong banana and yeasts, some spices and wheat lurking in the background, balanced out by slight bread and caramel malts T- Initial taste dominated by subtle banana and citrus followed by breads, wheats, and yeasts, hints of vanilla and bubblegum, the finish is slightly bready (the malts are underwhelming for this style) M- Medium-bodied beer, lively carbonation, creamy texturing D- Well-balanced and easy-drinking Dunkelweizen that tastes like a slightly maltier version of Ayinger’s banana-forward hefeweizen, this is a flavorful beer that is somewhat lacking in the traditional Munich malts of this style, a good beer overall but I wish it had a bit more malty richness

Bottle. Deep copper in color with the usual cloudiness of a wheat beer. Aroma is fruity (specially banana). Flavor is fresh with the same bananas coming through and finishes with a slight wheat taste at the back of the throat.

Bottle into Weiss glass. Pours a very hazy copper-brown, with a nice fluffy head that settles down into a creamy off-white cap. Nose is dry and yeasty, banana and cloves come through. taste is quite nice - yeasty up front, a bit dry, banana, moves to a sweet graham cracker and vanilla pudding note that hints at cocoa, while still maintaining the signature crisp, light, airy palate of a wheat beer. Finish is light and clean. Mouthfeel is light, crisp. Very nice beer.
