Oct 29, 2008 Bottle. A hazy, orange beer with an off-white head. Banana and caramel on the nose, having company by some cloves. Mostly banana in the mouth, with caramel, yeast and citrus in the background. Quite sweet. The finish has a fine bitterness as well as the initial flavors. Effervescent, dry and full-bodied. A really pleasant dunkelweizen, it doesn’t get much better than this. (080829)

Oct 19, 2008 Bottle. Golden- orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is ripe banana, orange, citrus. Flavour is sweet, ripe banana, coriander, citrus, hint of hop. Nice beer.

Oct 1, 2008 fair example of a wheat beer, numerous flavors but few standing out above the others. Tastes better as it warms. Do not drink until beer is allowed to breath. I tend to expect just a bit more flavor from Ayinger products.

Sep 30, 2008 Pours a hazy root beer brown with a large, frothy, beige head that laces well. Huge banana and clove on the nose with a sweet wheaty backing. Light to medium-bodied and slick with a clean mildly dry finish. Sweet wheat malt, banana, apple and cloves with a clean finish. A very nice dunkelweizen.

Sep 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours unclear orange with a white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma with banana, caramel, and clove. The flavor is lightly sweet and well balanced, again with banana and clove. Very nice.

Sep 19, 2008 Looks like an old penny with a dense white head that diminishes into a tiny ringlet...minimal carbonation. Yeast, banana, clove...both in the flavor and aroma. Nothing overpowering. Semi-sweet. Not bad.

Sep 16, 2008 Bottle @ Coles, Buffalo NY. Nice beer. Pours a slightly murky cloudy burnt orange. Bready, clovy banana aroma. Malty hefe with caramel sweetness balanced nicely with yeastiness oif a hefe. Good beer

Sep 15, 2008 500ml bottle at my departmental picnic - thanks to whoever brought this along. I’d not had this brew in a while and it went down very nicely on a dank evening. Cloudy orange pour with the nice, lively carbonation one wants from a solid German hefe. Banana and mild yeast in the aroma, some chewy malts in the taste along with a touch of hops to complement the spicy finish. Fine stuff.
