| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 2, 2008 500ml bottle. Beautiful pour--deep bright cloudy amber--with a foamy off-white head. A treat to look at. Yeast and malt on the nose, with mild fruit (banana, apricot maybe) and a sense of fresh-baked sourdough bread. Similar palate... tickling bubbles on the upper lip and tastes of slightly underripe bananas, fresh bread, yeast. Clean and easy to drink, with a surprisingly crisp finish. I actually wanted a bit of a lingering aftertaste, but almost none is present. Subtle but solid. May cause some to think there’s not much too this beer, but I give it props for its understatement.
