| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 24, 2009 This is a great tasting beer, with the banana flavor that you would expect from a good hefeweizen mixed with malt and caramel. Pours dark brown with some white head. Medium body with very fruity banana aroma. Nice beer, definitely worth a try. Vertical Bacon Strips (888), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 23, 2009 Poured out a thick and creamy light tan crown with nice retention and splotchy lacing. The aroma is strong but not overpowering with banana bread, cloves and pink bubblegum. The flavour is really well put together with more banana bread and cloves, weak but rich malts and an underlying shortlived bitterness. Medium bodied with lots and lots of carbonation (not annoying), not really all that smooth for mouthfeel but there is obvious tartness throughout. Finishes fairly dry. Just picked up a caramel note? Well done although I’ll still take a non-banana bomb Hefe over it. lithy (1650), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
