Oct 17, 2009 Bottle. A sweet smell, strong aroma of bananas and some yeast and champagne. The white creamy head is medium large and has a long duration. The body is dark orange, lively and cloudy. The taste is a mixture of light bitter and sour, rather short. The body is light, creamy and with a lively carbonation. A good solid Weizen.

Hazy brown colour with fluffy off-white head. Aroma is fruits (banana/citrus), wheat, bread and some sweet caramel. Not so sweet flavour with wheat, malt and bread. Quite fizzy.

Jan 10, 2003 Huge frothy head (of course), and a nice brown color. Some clove and banana in the aroma. The flavor was sweet, tart, and slightly acidic. Great crisp feel...satisfying.

Apr 19, 2002 Cloudy iced tea appearance with some small yeast chunks. Foamy off white head with some cocoa powder flecks. Light color for a Dunkel Weizen. Heavy carbonation. Doughy aroma with some cloves, cocoa and apples. Nicely malted with a mellow body and light wheat tang and sour fruitiness. Lighter in body but not in flavor. Lingering roasted chocolate aftertaste. Finishes mellow and lightly tart with an apple/chocolate mix. Quite nice, but thinner than I’d like, and again a pricey choice.

Jun 7, 2002 Pours an off-amber with a decent head and some yeast floaties, not quite as dunkel as I’d like. Nose is great--bananas and spice cake. Flavor is a bit disappointing though: some of the banana/spiciness comes through, but it’s overridden by a tart sweetness.

Jul 22, 2007 Yeasty aroma with slight banana. Cloudy light brown color with a large head that dissipates moderately. Smooth start with a slight amount of hops and spices in the finish. A little watery palate.
