This brew pours a hazy medium golden. Floaties. The colossal rocky bone colored head is fully lasting with fair lacing. The nose is very fruity: banana, bubble-gum, grape, apple, etc. Some spices like ginger aroma also present along with caramel, cereal, and flowers. Finishes like it starts very sweet, kinda acidic, and somewhat bitter. Overall very rich, sweet and fruity. The medium creamy/dry body has lively carbonation with an alcoholic feel to the finish. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 23, 2007 Bottle. Light notes of cereal, flowers, soap and damp basement with a hint of clove and a strong sour milk smell. Head is fizzy white, mostly lasting and has fair lacing, color is murky brown. Flavor starts moderately acidic and lightly bitter, then finishes lightly acidic and sour. Palate is light to medium, watery and has a fizzy carbonation. The sour milk smell was hard to get over, maybe it had something to do with all the other hoppy beers I had that day. I’ll re-rate it by itself next chance I get. mgermani (865), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 20, 2008 Pours a lovely hazy amber with an excellent long-lasting head & nice lacing. Aroma is lovely - graham cracker, banana, typical wit but a tad sweeter and richer, notes of alcohol too. Tastes great - gala apple, light spiciness, creamy caramel, even a hint of mandarin orange. Body is creamy and delicious, if a tad under-carbonated. Overall, this is another dangerously drinkable beer. Only downside is the slightly underwhelming aftertaste. Smells of banana, yeast, and malt. Flavor is banana, yeast, zest, and barnyard. Finish is decent but fades a bit quickly. jzzbassman (850), New Albany, Mississippi, USA

Looks great in the glass and has a little less of the sweet flavor that I generally find off-putting in the style. DrunkAsASkunk (847), Lynnwood, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 17, 2003 This one pours an ambery orange color with fairly active carbonation and a thin but continual frothy head that just wont go away! The aroma is yeasty and bready with a hint of mango, cloves and perhaps other fruits..mainly dark. The taste is predominated by a yeasty front...heavily yeasty for a german wheat to the point that i was surprised! It's followed up by a nectar like fruity/mango finish with a slight bitter floral dry ending. The carbonation level is very active here as is evidenced by that continual head. Some apple and pear acetic qualities in the aftertaste. Very floral and mango-like for my tastes. A nice beer and a good drink, but held back by those floral mango flavors. mansquito (839), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
