Dec 10, 2002 Some fruit taste, but foremost was a strong synthetic plasticy/rubbery flavor that I didn’t like. Sour aftertaste with an acetic apple taste throughout. I think they would have been better off leaving the malt out.

Feb 22, 2009 1/21/09 From the bottle. Aroma is sour banana forward with a spicy phenol background. Appearance is clear gold with a well maintained white head. Flavor is sour forward that fades to sweet and highly fruity with a very light peppering. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, with a low carb texture. Overall, quite good, but seems more like a standard German hef than a Dunkel.

Apr 11, 2009 Bottle. Hazy orange cloudy beer with a long lasting head. Aroma of clove, citrus, bananas bread and yeast. Flavor was similar, with light alcohol. Fizzy mouth.

May 26, 2009 Pours hazy peach with billowing beige head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of grapefruit, lemon, clove, and a touch of nutmeg. Very pronounced and complex. Flavor strikes a most excellent balance of malty sweetness, a welcomed hop backbone, and a throughly complex and pronounced spice aspect. Caramel, brown sugar and toffee give way to a subtle and caressing citrus character, and finally a delicious addition of clove and coriander. Palate is thick, smooth and full, allowing for a sugary coating followed by a slight dryness. Delicious.

Dec 5, 2007 Updated: Sep 2, 2009Nice label, cloudy in the glass. Good tart aroma. Robust, fresh, nutty taste - I love this flavor which is unique to hefeweizen - a mixture of wheat and a certain type of yeast, perhaps? Notes of citrus and clove. This puts me in the mood for anything between midsummer celebrating to holiday season gatherings, or just sitting by myself at the end of the day, with a little of this liquid reward in my favorite beer glass.

Nov 4, 2005 Slightly cloudy dark orange pour with medium head. Aroma is very yeasty, as well as malty, some spice notes team up with a mild fruitiness making for a solid nose. Flavor is spice, banana, yeast, doughy. Goes down nice, making for quite a pleasent experience.

Nov 10, 2002 Malty, banana, yeasty aroma. Pours a cloudy amber color with a big, rocky head. Very malty and I detect a little bit of clove flavoring in the finish. Nice wheat beer.
