Commercial Description:
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

bottle, thank you pivnizub! Cloudy amber-brown colour, large beige head. Malty-chocolatey nose. Full-bodied, malty with lovely caramel and chocolate flavours. Well-balanced with a pleasant and smooth mouthfeel.

500 mlo bottle poured a hazy amber with a large lasting ivory head. Aromas of wheat, apple, light banana, and light spice. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of wheat, applesauce, light banana, light citrus and a bit of spice with a smooth sweet finish.

Bottle. Pours amber-copper with a tall foamy off-white head that mostly dissipates, fast-rising tiny bubbles. Aroma is malty wheat, straw and biscuit, fruit (banana, pear, apricot), yeast (dark dough) and notes of caramel, slightly roasted. Medium sweetness, mild bitterness and acidity, malt and yeast, wheat dough flavor, straw and bananas, slight sour finish. Medium bodied and fizzy palate that is both watery and dry simultaneously.

Bottled in Parma, Italy. Fantastic aroma, with all the elements a proper weizen should have. Yeast, bready wheat, fine prickly carbonation. The summer beer to kill all summer beers. But is it a dunkel? Half dunkel, maybe?

Bottle, poured into Ayinger glass. Explosive, white head dominates the glass, leaving only an inch or two for beer. Gold color with aroma of bubblegum and yeasty banana. Extra smooth body, almost creamy. Fruits are peach and apple. Other than the texture theres not much thats memorable about this.

This brewed poured a medium-large white head with small-medium bubbles. There was very little lacing on the sides of my glass. Carbonation was observed rising to the top. It had a fruity aroma to it and it was a bit on the watery side. I did not notice any bitterness or aftertaste with this brew; however, I was disappointed with this brew as I expected it to be better since it is brewed by Ayinger.

Bottle. Pours hazed amber with an enormous manilla colored head. Very elegant looking and definitely "attractive". Nose is bananas, wheat, yeast, some strawberry notes, light bubblegummy esters, minimal spiciness, and sweet malts. Taste is nice as well. Rich fruits, banana, light candyish notes, spices, sweet maltiness, light yeast, and wheat. Medium bodied and slightly effervescent. Refreshing and at times bordering on creamy. Finishes as well as it began. Light bubblegum, bananas, ripened fruits, light wheat, yeast, light spices, and sweet malts.

A Hefe done right. Murky, dark golden appearance with a decent sized head and lacing. Aroma of bubble gum and yeast. Crisp muted citrus flavor with some bubble gum notes and a velvety mouthfeel make this a winner. 5.8% alcohol hidden extremely well.
