Commercial Description:
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

This is one of if not the best Weizens i have ever had the joy of drinking. Very smooth and goes down nice, and with a alcohol content of 5.8% it is almost a perfect Weizen. That is my opinion.

Poured a cloudy golden orange with a fluffy white head. The nose was of lemon, cloves, biscut, molasses and banana. The taste started with banana, cinnamon and clove, then lemon moves into the forground. Yeast, malt and coffee flavors round out the end. The finish had a slight oak presence to it. I think this is a near textbook representation of a Dunkel Weizen. A very solid, enjoyable beer.

A big bottle of this answered my craving for some Wheat beer. This brew pours a hazy medium golden. Floaties. The colossal rocky bone colored head is fully lasting with fair lacing. The nose is very fruity: banana, bubble-gum, grape, apple, etc. Some spices like ginger aroma also present along with caramel, cereal, and flowers. Finishes like it starts very sweet, kinda acidic, and somewhat bitter. Overall very rich, sweet and fruity. The medium creamy/dry body has lively carbonation with an alcoholic feel to the finish. Ahhh!!

500ml bottle poured in a weizen. My weizen glass is opaque so I can’t really see this beer. It has a huge creamy frothy head though. It smells wonderful. I found vanilla, yeast, banana, clove, and faint green wood. Oh boy! I’m excited. The frothy head ensures I don’t rush this beer. I have to pour slowly and wait, pour slowly and wait. The anticipation is immense. The way this beer smells has my mouth watering. Finally! The whole beer is poured. I wonder how full this glass is. I can’t see through it. The first mouthful is fruity and surprisingly carbonated. It leaves a sweet, soft, ripe fruit feeling in my mouth, like apples or soft pears. The second mouthful brings out a complex mix of yeasty fruit that somehow manages to have a tart bite. This beer is very refreshing. It is a real thirst quencher.

i didn’t do this justice in my original rating. powerful banana aroma with a little bit peach. great nose. head is so thick, an aboslute mountain. The beer strugles to break through the head. I could just look and smell this for days. Smooth carbonation, just perfect. Lightly toasted, like putting your toaster on the lightest setting when toasting generic white bread and the bread comes out still white. very sweet and oh so refreshing. apples. i can’t get over the head on this. High school sluts should take notes.
