| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 26, 2009 Pours hazy peach with billowing beige head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of grapefruit, lemon, clove, and a touch of nutmeg. Very pronounced and complex. Flavor strikes a most excellent balance of malty sweetness, a welcomed hop backbone, and a throughly complex and pronounced spice aspect. Caramel, brown sugar and toffee give way to a subtle and caressing citrus character, and finally a delicious addition of clove and coriander. Palate is thick, smooth and full, allowing for a sugary coating followed by a slight dryness. Delicious.
