Commercial Description:
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

All around good brew from my view. The best hefe-weizen I've had to date. Lots of carbonation and very yeasty are the things I notice.

Cloudy Orangey brown, with a sloppy, thin head. Spicy, bready, toasty aroma, perhaps with a hint of sourdough. Flavor is surprisingly fruity - raisin & prunes, mostly - with a solid pumpernickel and peppery finish.

Malty, banana, yeasty aroma. Pours a cloudy amber color with a big, rocky head. Very malty and I detect a little bit of clove flavoring in the finish. Nice wheat beer.

Bottle. An amber color with a foamy off-white head. The aroma has that delicate german wheat fragrance with spice, clove, and citrus. The flavor has banana and spice to compliment the smooth malts.

500 ml bottle. Pours cloudy amber with a fluffy orangy white head. Minimal lacing.
Aroma is big on cooked bananas, a little wheat, some spice.
Flavor is fruity with a spicy backbone, a little bread.

Pale white-ish appearance, excellent carbonation and head formation. Malty, yeasty, woody aroma with decent amount of peppery spice. Sweet, soft palate, cloves, apples, light touch of banana bread and some bitterness in the finish.

Just another dark wheat. Very strong aroma, but there are better dark wheats out there.
