Commercial Description:
An American Style stout, Teach’s bitterness is not totally derived from hops, Hershy’s Cocoa Powder is added to the boil to give this beer its final bitterness and chocolaty flavor.

22 ounce bottle... Aroma is funky, sour, chocolately... actually very nice, I like dark funky beers and whether this was accidental or not, it does have an undeniably awesome aroma. Taste is... ehhhhh..... almost good. For a minute I thought it would work, but then the too-thin body and overwhelming vinegar got to me, and I have got to agree with previous reviews that the flavor is pretty shite. But it really is interesting and borderline decent... not a drainpour.

22oz thanks to TheBeerSommelier. I must mention this is the most full bottle I have ever seen. When I popped the top there is about an eighth of an inch of space before the liquid. Anyways, pours surprisingly light for a stout, more like a dark brown ale. Aroma is, holy Brettanamyces batman, we have an infection. Unlike every other rater here, this is totally pleasant and appealing to me. Huge earthiness, leather, sour cherries, slight chocolate. There is a huge funky cherry component to this that is nice. Yeah, the taste is fairly bad. This smells excellent, I honestly mean that. The taste is sour, thin, cherry, tart and astringent. Fairly lactic. A decent sour, a horrible stout. What a weird beer.

22 oz bottle poured deep brown and black. Nice chocolate aroma, but the body was not as pleasant. Sour flavors, maybe skunked.

22 oz. bottle shared at the 4th of July Bash with alexanderj and kleyland. Pours a reddish brown color. Bubbly, light brown head. Aroma of oats and chocolate. Flavor is a bit tart and didn’t taste much of the cocoa. Watery mouthfeel. This one missed the mark.

(Brewgrass08) Clear copper body topped by beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, milk chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, milk chocolate, some molasses, light earthy. Low carbonation, light-medium body.

Bottle. Pours brown with tan head. Smells like manure. Actually taste like manure also. This is bad shit. I didn’t get any hints of chocolate. I feel lied too.

Wow - just wow. I think this is the worst beer I’ve ever rated, and maybe ever even tried. Normally I’d chalk this up to a bad bottle, but there are enough other reviews here to indicate that the problems with this "beer" run much deeper. Medium brown color, slight greenish tints - not an attractive beer. Vinegar flavors (but only mildly sour) dominate the entire taste. Gross, disgusting, undrinkable. "Teaches Chocolate Stout....meet our sink - adios!"

Bottle - This was a terrible beer. It tasted sour! Nothing like a stout at all. It is dark in color like a stout but the taste was horrific. I took a swig, and then tried to down a bit more and couldn’t do it. I ended up dumping out the rest.
