Commercial Description:
Dark Golden in the tradition of the classic style. Malt-sweetness on the palate combines with the elegant hoppy aroma of Hallertauer variety "Select". Hoppy, dryfinish creates perfect balance to the initial sweet experience.

Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light amber, dense tiny/small particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted light bread, caramel, cookie), heavily hoppy (flowers, herbs), with strong notes of orange, apricot, honey, and peach. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, lightly acidic. Medium body, watery (almost creamy) texture, lively carbonation. I’ve had this a number of times since I first rated it over two months ago, and there is just no pussy-footing around about the aroma. It is absolutely stunning...even in a wide mouthed mug, it still blows my nose away with honeysuckle and toasted bread and all sorts of fruits. And then of course there’s the flavor balance...and the amazing appearance. There is virtually no hope of finding anything better in this style. The definition of ’luscious’. I just hope I bought enough to last until next October.

Comes as Festbier. Thank you Masn/G2B.dk! It’s a hazy, orange-golden beer with a weak head. The aroma has notes of malt, citrus and a light sourness. The flavour is rather citrussy with notes of malt, apple and a light sweetness. Not too much "Fest" in this one :)

Bottle (label reading Festbier) - Clear light amber body, not lasting yellowish head; Quite simple malty sugary honey nose; Light thin body, simple bitter sweet; Some length in a malty bitter finish, simple honey sweet sugary flower aroma. Not really interesting and no really well composed.

Bottle. Cloudy red amber, golden head. Bottles seem to be unstable. Honeyish malt and aromatic hops. Berrylike fruity flavor, light toast. Light to medium body, sparkly mouthfeel. Aromatic finish.

Red, bit foxy beer, slight haze, with about no head left. Very strange nose, plywood, berries extract, medicinal. Awful, in fact. Very fast disappearing, short sweetish-sourish-fruity flavour. End a bit burning, but generally very lame. Slick, not even medium bodied. A bit old? It’s still before its given BBD. Anyway, not something I’d finish. All the same, thanks, Joss!

(bottle, with greetings to Jonas ;-) Hazy, amber colour with a mid-sized, unstable foamy light-beige head. Yeasty, toast-malty, slightly worty aroma with strong fruity notes of red berries, whis evokes also a slightly sour impression. Light-sweet, minimal-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonated mouthfeel. Toast-malty, slightly unripe taste with fruity esters; sweetish malty finish with a shy bitterness. Not particularly rounded beer with a discontenting maturation.
