A Mes rate: Cask at the Pembury.
Striking dark amber colour with a rich brown hue. Nice sweet malt aroma. Unexpected fruity hops in the mouth following the nose. Very slight ginger notes. Grapefruit hop finish.

Cask handpull at Pembury Tavern, London. Brown/gold with very thin beige head. Nice hop, raspberry sherbert aroma. OK in mouth, some wateryness, raspberry sherbert continues. Finish lacks bite.

Cask handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Copper with a short head. Orange-citrus hops in the scent with some biscuit malts there too. Slight bitterness and quite dry. Tastes are fruity with a little earthy malt on the end. Good.

Cask at The Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a floral hop aroma. A rather ordinary bitter: a little fruit, some bitterness. Rather dull.
