Oct 18, 2008 Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Light gold with healthy white head. This beer was in the peak of condition and as fresh as they come. Smooth malty base with a dry bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

Sep 19, 2008 Updated: Sep 2, 2009Cask, Knickersby Spoons. Sure the pump clip said 4.7%. Brilliant straw with a fine white collar and lace. Lemony metallic aroma weak with grassy hops. Too much almond and grain. Watery melon fruit, faint rubber. Wheaty corny afters with butter. More cereals than hops, but some OK lemon and lime notes sneaking through. Dry on the end. Doesnt disgrace itself, but a pretty sub-standard GA.

Mar 24, 2008 Cask at The Cask and Barrel, Edinburgh. A golden beer with a dense lazing white head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of caramel.

Another good beer ruined by JD Wetherspoons. Evidently there’s a good bitter in here trying to get out, but what hit my tastebuds was well past its best. Must re-rate one which JDW haven’t got their hands on.
