25/05/06. Brugges. Similar characters to the Brugse Zot that I just rated but with a touch more spice, murky and not quite golden. Alcohol on the nose.

Bottle. Cloudy blond in color with a nice white head. Fruity, malty, sweet aroma. Hoppy. Citrusy hopes. Sour and tart. Medium bodied. Well balanced. Smooth. Finish is hoppy. Nice beer. Enjoyable.

Hazy blond color with a large, nicely cloudy head. Mild, slightly sweet-malty aroma with honey hints. Fruity, malty, honeyish flavor with mild acidity and reasonable hopping. Balanced and easy. Light to medium-bodied, refreshing palate with balanced carbonation. A light, basic but refreshing summer brew. Not bad. And with a nice label and glass.

An unclear orange beer with a beige head. The aroma contains notes of yeast, peaches, and metal on a slightly acidic background. The flavor is acidic spicy with hints of metal and a sticky mouthfeel and a dry end.

Huge white, creamy head. Golden coloured, hazy, with lots of yeast particles in suspension. Very yeasty and fruity (pear) in the nose with a herbal hoppy note. Yeasty again on the mouth, quite alcoholic aftertaste. Full bodied and heavily carbonated.

(Bottle 33 cl) A golden ale which is reasonably clear until I pour the sediment. Then the color is grey-orange. Very aromatic, along the style of a "Triple" or a paler trappist like Orval. Spicy and refined with quite a lot of sweetness which is at the same time rather discreet. Quite nice. 110304
