muenster (338), Sevierville, Tennessee, USA Jul 18, 2007 750 bottle. Pours light yellow/clear, with no head, really not very appealing. Aroma is strong pear and piss. Flavor is tart, which isn’t so bad, but there are some very cloying sweet notes as well. Mouthfeel is very flimsy.
Gypsy19 (252), AMERICA RISING, USA Oct 17, 2008 750ml bottle that was impossible to open. I’m new to ciders so I really didn’t know what to make of this, but it’s somewhat pleasant, kind of like a cheap champagne. Tastes like winegrapes more than pear. Overall, I won’t be getting this again, though I can’t say that it was a bad experience. Just indifferent. Try it if you want something new and affordable. roder60 (885), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 17, 2008 Never had a perry before so i picked this one up. Pours a very very very light yellow clear color with a few small bubbles around rim. Aroma is very sweet and desertlike - reminds me of the smell of vanilla ice cream. Flavor starts sweet but then has a tartness to it which tastes part liked canned pears and part like tart apple cider. In a way reminds me of a pinot grigio or other tart acidic wine. Overall, I found this not too bad at all. Glad I tried it. BMan1113VR (1150), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Jul 25, 2008 Sent in photo to be uploaded. Should have figured that a $3 for a 750mL this would be bad. Pours the color of a clear, light chardonnay with bubbles and a white ring around the glass. aroma of plastic, card noard, corn syrup, over-rippened pear, sulfur and methane. Blah, this stuff tastes pretty bad. Cloyingly sweet, with sulfur. I guess I get what I payed for. Small bubbles but obviously force carbonated. Beerlando (1458), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 22, 2008 Draft at The Social. Pours a clear, pale yellow-straw color. Copious amounts of obtuse bubbles line the entire length of the glass, pooling into a fizzy, off-white head. Aromas are as muted as can be, with notes of sweet sugar water and diluted, artificial pear syrup. Flavors are equally disappointing, basically tasting like a train wreck of light corn syrup, water, and pear. The mouthfeel is thin and fizzy, finishing with a sweet, sticky film. Overall, this basically looks, smells, and drinks like a watered down pear soda. This stuff is atrocious. Walt (2291), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 15, 2008 Pour is clear bright yellow with a thin white head...smell is sweet and sugary pear....super sweet...sweet and vegetable water fruit juice flavor...blech!
