kmweaver (2125), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Sep 13, 2008 Draft @ Ebenezer’s. Pours a dark, clear reddish-tinged color; light tan head with fine-bubbled lacing; slightly fizzy. Very overripe fruits, touches of honey and dark cherries in the aroma; overripe and a touch flabby. Medium mouthfeel: overripe red and dark fruits, cherries, and fruit leather; light acidity and tartness; touches of balsamic notes and definitely overripe throughout. Medium finish: toastiness, overripe fruits, and light, soft yeastiness; nice and toasty. bierkoning (4935), La Tropica, Netherlands Aug 25, 2008 Bottle. Copper brown color. Caramel and apple syrup and cherry juice in the aroma and flavor. Just a touch of sourness. Sweetish and fairly thin, with a hint of iron in the aftertaste. Diluted, but still tasty Rodenbach clone. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 7, 2008 25 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a lacing tan head. Aroma is citric and fruity, mild yeasty too. Flavour starts mild sweet and fruity. Light wooden note to a dry caramel malt base. Somewhat watery finish. AgentSteve (861), SF Bay Area, California, USA Aug 5, 2008 On tap at Hamiltons, poured in a Chimay glass that killed the aroma. Transferred into my tulip glass and this sour cxame alive. Great tart cherry nose that carriewd into nthe flavor. A bit too sweet for a sour, and a bit lacking in complexity. It did have the trademark sour finish of nuttiness and wood. Thanks to Naven for this beer! DaSilky1 (1629), San Diego, California, USA Jul 22, 2008 Clear & shiny auburn color, fluffy off-white head. Metallic sour nose with a hint of cherry. The flavors were novel and of cherry cream soda. The mouthfeel was weak and the flavors were thin...but at least it was clean enough not to taste grainy. However, cleanness wasn’t exactly its strong point eiher as there were tin & iron notes as well as a finish along the lines of aspartame.
