| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 1, 2009 I’m surprized I haven’t rated this yet. I’ve seen it at several fests, including the Stone Sour Fests. Anywho. I bought this 375mL bottle at Texas Liquor in Carlsbad. Pours amber red. Leans dry. Tastes oxidized. Big bubble head fades fast. Thin. Not my favorite. TheBeerOrg (1577), Kentucky, USA

Aromas of port, wine, raspberry, and raisin. Lively beer with a very full beginning followed by a crisp palate. Flavor is primarily raspberry with hints of port and blackberry. Very good sour ale and could almost be a Lambic. DruncanVeasey (2744), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 28, 2009 Bottle. Deep ruby with a creamy yellow-tan collar. Butter, cherry, iron and slight Brie aroma begging that first sip with a gentle balance of dankness and acidity. Dampness, blood, cherries, mild balsamic touches and biscuit fading into a drying chemical bitterness aftertaste (Acesulfame K). Sour ale for beginners. thornecb (1778), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Pours deep mahogany into a snifter. Tan head quickly recedes to nothing. Sour cherry and oak aromas. Tart and dry upfront with cherry turning to a lasting lactic finish. rustychiles (1055), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 20, 2009 Pours a brownish red with a nice off white head. Aroma is cherry, cider, some sourness, oak. Flavor is cherry, a light tartness, a bit watery, oak, apple. Fairly dry, slightly cidery and very easy to drink. An imperial version would be awesome, but this is just ok. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 19, 2009 This comes in a much fancier bottle than the one over there. Pours a nice reddish brown with an enormous head thick creamy head. Aroma is dry fruits some raisins and some oaky and cidery notes to compliment, the overall aroma is nice if a bit faint. This has a sweet on sour flavor that seems to work better in this one than it has in numerous other examples, it is neither intensely sweet nor is it intensely sour but this is a very mild ale with nice tart notes, some oak, some fruitiness of tart cherries and red apple. There are no off sugary flavors or points where this beers tart and sour character fight with the sweetness. I really enjoy this beer and could see myself drinking it often if it were available to me.
