Sample at DLD 09. Pours a golden amber color with a small head. Aroma is Blueberries with light bready and caramel malts. Flavor has more blueberry and the same bready caramel malt. The beer was better than I would have expected, but gets lost easily in the free for all of big beers at DLD. I got this early on before most of the big beers had made an appearance.

DLD, a bit of a waste but someone poured it for me. Gold. Light head. Blueberry and malt. Blueberry flavor. Actually for a blueberry its not half bad! Just not up to par wtih the 24k beauties at DLD!

Bottle from Pat’s Liquors in Porter, Indiana: In all fairness to the brewer, I have to state that I do not like blueberries, and this, obviously, is meant to be rife with them. It poured an amber body with a respectable head. It smelled of fresh blueberries. Tasted of ’em, too, along with light caramelly malt and an off bitterness. Not badly brewed, but it’s blueberries.

Strong aroma of blueberry. Flavor has strong blueberry notes but it seems very well balanced with the rest of the beer. Not overly sweet like most fruit beers I’ve had. Very nice.

pours cloudy amber, thin tan head. aroma of blueberry pancakes (can’t go wrong there. unless you are talking about beer). perfumey flavor and finish makes this almost intolerable. yuk (that’s what my note said. don’t blame me). i love back street brewery. i just don’t like this beer.

Had this beer on 6/6/2007. Aroma is a sweet blueberry smell. Color is a deep amber with good carbonation and a nice tight head. Taste is spicy and bitter. Starting with medium body it goes down with a spicy feel coming on. Finish comes in with a dry bitterness that is followed by a nice blueberry flavor. Its a bit spicy for me but one of the better blueberry beers I have had.

12 oz bottle, I actually enjoyed this (for a fruit beer) I must say also that this is my favorite beer that I’ve sampled from Back Road so far. Blueberry is very well done. If you like fruit beers this one is definitely worth a try.

got this from Clarkvv back in Nov. 04 so as I was clean out the refrig. I thought I would open this to see how it held up. poured a nice rich honey with a small off white head. aroma just a hint of blueberries, with honey and the smell of pancakes, orange and a small amount of hops. flavor honey with blueberries the hops are a little more prevalent. would have like to compare this to a fresh one.
