Bottle from Styles. Clear amber body iwth tiny white head. The aroma is absolutely loaded with blueberry pancakes, some caramel. The flavor is blueberry syrup, sligthly floral. Medium/light body, soft carbonation, slightly thin with a bitter end.

12oz bottle, courtesy of artusory. Thanks, Ryan! Medium, golden-amber appearance; fine-bubbled, patchy lacing. Fresh blueberry pie in the aroma. Bitter, medium mouthfeel: ripe blueberries, citrus hops, some spice and blueberry stems. A pretty tasty fruit beer.

(12oz bottle, thanks artusory) Small off-white head, clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, blueberry syrup. Taste is medium sweet, blueberry, light cereal. Light-medium body, fairly clean.

NIce attempt, but comes off a little over the top. Aroma is yeast, malt, and blueberry. Flavor is overly blueberry. Not many other flavors discernable. Slightly hoppy bitter on the end, but the blueberry kills all other notes. Thin on the mouth and boring finish. Mediocre at best.

Deep amber with the slightest hint of blue. No appreciable head. Big blueberry aroma that was real and true, not an additive. Some spice and malt present. Gentle carbonation and a smooth feel in the mouth. The flavor was definitely blueberry. Very pleasant and refreshing.

Draft sample at IBGF 06. Dark amber color with a moderate frothy white head that diminished quickly with fair lacing. Moderate blueberry aroma. Medium body. Medium sweet bluberry flavor with a small bitter sweet finish of short duration.

My buddies brought two 5 gallon pump kegs to the 4th of July parade. Really hit the spot. Had a nice purple tint that I’m never too crazy about. But the beer look real nice other than that. Ample head. Looked rich in the cup. The aroma was strong blueberry, but there was more to this beer than that. Reading porterouse’s rating, I totaly get the shampoo line. It didn’t seem to bother me on this day. I’m guessing the hop flavor of the base beer (Back Road Ale) doesn’t play all that nice. I got passed that. Very round and full on the palate. Good stuff.

(Bottle via trade with BBB63, thanks Mike!) Pours a very light coppery amber, very slight blue/purple tint. About 1" of off-white head. Aroma of blueberry mousse. Some nice lacing. Mouthfeel light, very lightly bubbly. Pleasant light blueberry flavor is marred by a soapiness which ends up with this tasting like blueberry shampoo. Maybe blueberries just don’t jive well with barley malt, because I’ve gotten this soap/shampoo taste in another blueberry ale that wasn’t wheat-based. Feels like there’s a good beer behind this that just doesn’t work with the fruit.
