12oz bottle- A mix of blueberry and hop aroma on a light orange amber body with a head that dissipates quickly. Has a dry taste with the blueberry taste coming out on the back end. I prefer a little more taste in my fruit beers but not a bad beer.

Decent fruit beer...with prominent caramel malt, with a light herbal hoppiness. The blueberries only really come into view in the finish, and rather tame at that, thank goodness. More of a novelty than anything you might drink for a session.

Bottle from BBB63, consumed on 3/19/06
Beige mess of bubbles on top can hardly be called a head, and is quickly swallowed up in to the murky, bronze-caramel colored liquid. No lacing either.
The nose is strong blueberries, albeit tempered by a light perfuminess, a dry sort of blueberry skin note that helps cut the sweetness, while the malts are fairly fat and sugary (pale and/or caramel malts) for a fruit beer. Quite strong, with a fresh, unpasteurized yeastiness, a real planty, earthy, herbal quality to it as well.
The flavor is sweet, but then dry, then sweet again, leaving me wondering if this is a sweet or dry example. It has definite perfumey, dry fruit notes and some bare graininess to it, but then, as it warms, more near-caramelized sugars seem to seep forth. The carbonation is quite low, probably leading to the build up of sugars that otherwise would be better spread out on the palate with more carbonation. But you can’t fault the honest, malty body and real blueberry flavors. Thanks Mike!

Very dull beige with lots of haze. Big, bold blueberry nose. Nothing subtle about this. Slightly spicy, with a strong but juicy fruit accent. Fairly dry as fruit beers go. Hints of yeast and light malt. A well-crafted example of the style...plus I seem to be building a history of liking blueberry beers.

Bottle from BBB63. Lightly hazy, medium to deep amber colored. Pleasant blueberry aroma. LIghter bodied. A fairly sharp, harsh flavor arises and lingers making the taste of this beer a bit undesireable to me. Perhaps I add blueberry to the list of fruits I don’t enjoy in beer.

Thanks to richlikebeer for sharing! Slightly cloudy copper color with no head. Very apparent blueberry aroma. with some malts. Tastes of malts, a bit of pine with a blueberry aftertaste. Blueberry is more pronounced as beer warms. At this point, the best blueberry ale I’ve ever had.

more back road goodness from BBB63, pours a cloudy copper color, not much head at all, and i even dropped the bottle just before i opened it. lots of blueberry, some malts and a little bit of pine. lots of malts in the flavor, the blueberry is highly present at the end but is a little absent in the front. Some toast and a little bit of pine coming up early, as well as a little lemon. a very nice fruit beer, as it carried a little more of the blueberry at the end than most.

On tap at the brewery. Semi-hazy and muted yellow-brown in color with a foamy, dense, tan and creamy head. Blueberries clearly jump out in the aroma with hints of juniper, boysenberries and raspberry seeds. Nice refreshing quaff. Blueberry muffin flavor traits are trailed by a musky pils staunch. Enjoyable, for a fruit beer.
