Huge blueberry aroma, could give the NG brews a run in aroma. Flavor has initial blueberry kick but fades to a muted malt flavor. Very well done fruit beer. Forget desert I could drink this for breakfast. definately underrated IMO. Pailhead (2593), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 4, 2005 Bottle: Courtesy of BBB63. Aroma is loaded with blueberries, and it is an actual blueberry aroma, not ariticial blueberries or Kool-Aidish.Pours a hazy amber with an insignificant head that is very quickly a thin ring along the edges of the glass. Lots of blueberry flavor from start to finish with a touch of hops coming in to play in the finish. A very nice fruit beer. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 28, 2005 Bottle: Amber hued golden, slight haze, small white fizzy head, spotty lacing, light carbonation. Fresh blueberry nose, just as if I picked them off the bush myself. Very slight peppery note as well. A bit more assertive pepper than blueberry on the tongue. Moderate body and mouthfeel. Spicy/Peppery finish. Great nose, but the blueberry doesn’t translate strong enough on the tongue. Regardless, its quite refreshing and interesting to have considering it brings me back to the days of the old Thomas Kemper Helles Blueberry Lager. Thanks Mike!

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 7, 2004 This looks really cool while pouring - a deep amber with blue along the edges (I can’t be imagining this, can I - I’m even sober now), good head and nice webby lacing. Smells like blueberry muffins. Taste is similar (but I had to let it warm up for quite awhile) - cinnamon nutmeg, tollhouse cookie malts with enough blueberry flavors. Some acidic edge along the way. Not bad at all. (thanks Mike BBB63) aracauna (2387), Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2004 This is one of the beers I got from BBB63 when I saw him in Cleveland. A large psfft of escaping CO2 burst out when I cracked this one open. Loads of carbonation with a large, sturdy, lasting head and walls of cascading bubbles. Very hazy brown body takes on a pretty, deep red hue in the light. Blueberry pie filling and something sharp (lemon zest?) top the nose, reminding me of the blueberry cake with cream cheese icing my mom makes. A bit of lingering bitterness in the finish, slightly metallic. Flavor is a bit weak after the aroma. flemdawg (485), Naples, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 28, 2004 Well, there were blueberries in the aroma. A hazy orange body topped with a white head. Not as much blueberry taste as I would have expected. Hops and malts were there as well. Interesting but not execptional. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 20, 2004 Cloudy copper color with a small off white head. Sweet and fruity blueberry aroma. Rather bland, blueberry taste. Left a kind of funky aftertaste in my mouth. The aroma was very nice however.
