The aroma is just what you expect, the fruity overtones dominate but also allow the malt and mild spice smell to come through. A nice amber color and white head. This ale is somewhat sweet and not for everyone (I've had worst, like Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, yuck!). Could be a little more fizzy and a bit more hoppy and compete with the best of the genre. Still, a very good effort for a dessert beer. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA

Huge blueberry aroma, could give the NG brews a run in aroma. Flavor has initial blueberry kick but fades to a muted malt flavor. Very well done fruit beer. Forget desert I could drink this for breakfast. definately underrated IMO. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 17, 2007 Had this beer on 6/6/2007. Aroma is a sweet blueberry smell. Color is a deep amber with good carbonation and a nice tight head. Taste is spicy and bitter. Starting with medium body it goes down with a spicy feel coming on. Finish comes in with a dry bitterness that is followed by a nice blueberry flavor. Its a bit spicy for me but one of the better blueberry beers I have had. Pailhead (2609), Allen Park, Michigan, USA

Aroma is loaded with blueberries, and it is an actual blueberry aroma, not ariticial blueberries or Kool-Aidish.Pours a hazy amber with an insignificant head that is very quickly a thin ring along the edges of the glass. Lots of blueberry flavor from start to finish with a touch of hops coming in to play in the finish. A very nice fruit beer. jsquire (2123), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 5, 2003 Murky orange out of the bottle with a nice, off white head that quickly shrunk down to a lasting ring. Obvious blueberry nose, but really only subtle blueberry in the flavor. Strong malt sweetness with tart blueberry underneath and a pleasant hop bitterness in the finish. I'm also not a big fruit beer fan, but this is well done. raindog (559), Evansville, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 6, 2003 Hazy,murky,rust. Frothy,creamy,head. Excellent,lasting retention. Aroma of fresh bluberries,yeast,wheat, and dust. Maybe some nutmeg? Fizzy,creamy mouthfeel. Excellent malty,tangy,bluberry, flavors. Finish is crisp,with sharp,spicy,hop note,and lingering must. Tastes a bit dated,but could be a good thing. Seems it probably dried out a bit. Maybe it lost some sweetness,and gained mustiness.Quite good. cb (809), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2003 The aroma was out of this world. I imagined myself with a fresh pail of juicy blueberries in the hot sun...exactly. Tart, wheat, must. Fairly thin mouthfeel. Flavor was that of a decent wheat beer with a bit of blueberry extract. I'd have it again, especially with a piece of berry pie. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 31, 2003 Had some of this at Aofoxxy's last night. Pours a cloudy ruddy amber. The average fothy white head is mostly diminishing with good lacing. Very pleasant nose of blueberries, lemons, apples and perfume. Though the brew tastes a little "loose", the flavor is nice because the blueberry is an afterthought as it should be, it brings up the rear in tempo with a rewarding bitter finish. The medium soft body is dry and finishes astringent. Thanks BBB.
