May 9, 2003 Interesting aroma, a combination of vanilla and chocolate and undertones of some spice. Very dark, almost a black beer. This beer lack some balance and heavy of the vanilla malt taste and while there is a noticeable hop presence, it doesn't match up evenly. Bitter on the aftertaste.

Feb 5, 2003 Overload on the black and possibly chocolate malts in combination with a lot of bitterness. Just not groovin', not smooth at all. Needs more rounded characteristics and more definition of exactly what this beer is supposed to be.
