Dark and murky. Intrigiung nose, a bit burnt, lots of espresso. Taste is harsh, smoky burnt wood with a bit of odd spiciness. Finishes sweet. Smooth. Lacks a good finish, starts well, then fades a bit.

Aroma: coco, chocolate malts, and a hint of flowers Appearance: thick, dark/chocolate brown Flavor: Interesting, it was both dry, chocolately, and hoppy. Couldn't tell if it was trying to be a dark ale (like a stout or porter) or an ipa. Palate: smooth and slightly dry Overall, think the beer is ok; interesting nonetheless.

Black brew. Only when held up to bright light is its burnt orange color revealed. Small, creamy, khaki-colored head. The aroma is of smoke, chocolate, toffee and used coffee grounds. More smoke, espresso and dark chocolate in the flavor. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Lengthy, bittersweet finish.

Soft, mild vegetable aroma mixed with smoke and some mild spices. Smoky and creamy flavors with a dry mouthfeel. Spiced and roasted coffee flavors are big, with a larger alcohol presence evident as it warms.

Very dark with a small tan head. Massive chocolate sweetness with some slight spice. Lots of bitter chocolate up front, but the flavors stall and the beer does not quite finish up. Medium body.

Poured an opaque black color with a tan head and alittle lacing. Chocolate, roasted malt and vanilla spice were included in the aroma. Chocolate, coffee, and a slightly peppery taste with a coating mouthfeel.

Chimay goblet: Black with a medium tan/grey head.Lasting ring, light lace. Roasty,caramel,fruity-malt,vanilla aromas. I like these clean, malt, aromas in Imperials. Similar to the Czar, not as complex though. Fizzy, creamy mouthfeel.Full body, slightly watery texture.Starts with dark fruit, mocha. Chewy chocolate, burnt caramel flavors. Finish is roasty as hell, very lingering, with some burnt malt. Finish has some hop presence, but very tastefully done. My mouth is off tonight,so I'll probably have to re-rate,but I like this easy drinking, creamy,Imperial. Thanks BBB63!

Black body with small tan head that vanishes fairly quickly. Aroma is medium sweet, date, roasty, some coffee, light chocolate. Taste is raisin, chocolate, coffee bitter. Medium-full body, yet watery.
