Out of BBB63’s growler at the DL release party. Deep orange color with a thin cream colored head. The nose reminded me of those candied grapefruit rinds. It seemed a little thin for an IIPA with flavors mostly of grapefruit and citrus hops.

Thanks to BBB63 for this at the DL release party.Golden amber brew with no head.Hoppy nose but a little to much fruity sweetness for an IIPA,at least for me.the sweetness overwhelmed the hops.Still nice to taste it.

Growler fresh for tap that morning, opened at DL post-release gathering: Golden hue with a firm head and excellent lace. The aroma has a piney and grassy hops note with some toasty malts and grapefruit esters. The taste has a sharp hoppy forefront with a bready malt backdrop. Additional undertones of citrus and minerals. The feel is average, biting. Pretty good beer Chuck, stepping up. I enjoyed it and hoped others did as well.

I do believe it was BBB63 who introduced me to this at the DL Release after-party. Slightly hazy orange golden. Nose is quite nice--hoppy with a good dose of apricott. Slightly dry and nicely bitter. This is a very nice IPA but it really bothers me that it’s called Hop Monster and it just isn’t... well, maybe in LaPorte but that just doesn’t fly around these parts.

Growler. Pours a clear amber color, small white head. Small white head, little to no lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, pine, slightly astringent. Flavor is full of piney hops, mixing in with grapefruit and other fruits. Huge thanks to BBB63 for sharing this one.
