Commercial Description:
No- there is no maple flavor here. This Marzen style lager is named after LaPorte Indiana, The "Maple City". It is amber in color and extremely clean and malty. We believe the taste of this lager is worthy of the gold (or at least another round). Give it a try and you be the judge.

Hazy copper body topped by a big but quickly dissipating beige head. Aroma is caramel and lightly floral. Taste is minimally sweet, nutty, mostly bitter, finishing medium grassy. Medium body. Improves as it warms beyond refrigerator temperature.

This pours a dark orange body with a moderate fizzy white head. Little lacing. The aroma is that of toast, slightly burnt, with a bit of caramel. The flavor continues with the burnt toast and caramel and the additional of an earthy, nutty bitterness that builds somewhat in the finish. Okay.

Reddish brown hue (Gold?) with virtually no head or lace. Light to medium-bodied. Hints of grain, nuts, flowers, and tart apple in the aroma. Fruity and woody notes during tasting, moderate bitterness. Dry finish with a hop bite.

Ths brew poured a medium head of off-white bubbles of fine to medium size. Its body was a carbonated hazy light brown and its aroma was a nice malty one. It had a small initial bitter bite and a clove malt hop flavor.

This beer poured a small tan head with small bubbles that quickly diminished. There was some lively carbonation observed and there was no lacing. The body was cloudy and the hue was dark amber. The nose was very malty and yeasty. The flavor was bitter and some clove. The mouthfeel was light-medium and tingly.

Bottle. Sweet maple syrup and raspberry malt aroma. Red amber color with slight head. Maple syrup and malt flavor with a moderate hops finish. An unusual beer for the style - hoppier than most.

Smelled fruity and malty. Taste was sweet and almost syrupy, followed by a nearly metallic hop bitterness that became increasingly dry. Slightly over carbonated. Nice deep red body, but little head or lacing.
