Aroma has some yeast bread and grain on the nose at first. Some sweet caramel aroma near the finish. Dark orange body with average head for the style. Had a mild sweet fruit mixed with a caramel sugar candy flavor. Medium body to the brew which would of made this to sweet for me. Has an alcohol warning on the bottle to drink responsibly and adhear to it has an alcohol warming efect and my face feels the warming effect as I type this. Somewhat of a dry palate as expected. Smooth brew despite the high alcohol content. footbalm (1219), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Pours a copper color with a bit of tannish head. some funky notes here right away, along with a dash of candy bar. Bit o honey or something. Syrupy brew that is thick on the tongue. Can’t figure this out as it does not represent the style. Cliff (366), Avon Lake, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Nov 28, 2006 Bottle from tjthresh. Poured a hazy amber/copper in my snifter. Aromas of both strong hops and strong sugars. I thought my nose felt sticky after smelling it due to the sugars. Nice hop flavor, but it is totally overpowered b the sweet malts. This is not very balanced. Nice mouthfeel, better than I expected because of all of the sugars. Sweet finish with a little hop bite. BeerandBlues2 (3231), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

Medium and warm bodied, dry palate. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is pretty barleywine-ish, with caramel, tangerine, sweet grains and just a mellow hoppiness.
