12 oz Bottle from Secret Santa.
Aroma has some yeast bread and grain on the nose at first. Some sweet caramel aroma near the finish. Dark orange body with average head for the style. Had a mild sweet fruit mixed with a caramel sugar candy flavor. Medium body to the brew which would of made this to sweet for me. Has an alcohol warning on the bottle to drink responsibly and adhear to it has an alcohol warming efect and my face feels the warming effect as I type this. Somewhat of a dry palate as expected. Smooth brew despite the high alcohol content.

Many a thanks to BBB63 for this bonus beer. Color is a nice murky orange with a soft creamy head on top. Aroma is a nice strong malt and citrus blend. Flavor is very nice. Starts you with the expected hefty malt, then a very sweet middle and an somewhat nutty end. Even gives me a tastey citrus aftertaste. Palate is rather gentle for the 9%, but it is a bit noticable.

12 oz bottle courtesy of BBB63. Pours a hazy orange caramel with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, dates, brown sugar, and faint citrus hops. Taste of caramel, toffee, figs, dates, brown sugar and citrus hops. Has a bread dough finish. Very good.

Light copper golden color with a nice light tan head. Wonderfully sweet caramel hoppy aroma. Good complexity in the sweet malty body, and well balanced with a good amount of floral bittering hops. A very enjoyable barleywine. Thank you BBB63!

Courtesy boboski. 2001. Clear ruby/amber. Thin film of tan carbonation. Nose is lightly sweet with a strong dose of malty caramel/toffee. Flavor of a chocolate/caramel cookie and a moderate bit of hops in the second half and finish. Medium/full, balanced body. Held up very nicely over 5 years.

This is much better that the last time I had a bottle. Pretty hazy and murky dark orange. Decent white head. The citrus hop aroma is much more up front, with a good bit of toffee. Same with the flavor. Hop forward with a good malt backbone. Good and bitter. Palate is rich with some oil. Very nice.

2005 vintage. 2 DEC 2005 11.99 for a sixer. Pours the color of cherry wood with a nifty tan head. The aroma is woody, nutty, kind of dusty. Overloaded with alcohol right now. Some carmel character and pretty bitter. Palate is full and slick. This one really still needs some time.

Courtesy of BBB63. Pours dirty orange with very little head. Aroma has liots of caramel with slight alcohol presence. Very oily body. Flavor is all caramel with some citrus hops in the finish. Little tweaking and this would be a damn good barleywine.
