Tmoney99 (4656), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Feb 8, 2009 Draft sample at IBG Winterfest 2009.
Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting and had good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hop and resin aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and flat carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate to long duration.
This is a good drinkable beer.
tjthresh (1746), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Dec 29, 2008 Pours a nice dark amber with a creamy egg shell white head. The nose is piny hops with a bit of a toasted note. Loads of fresh hop flavor and bitterness. Real easy drinking and yummy. Nice one guys.
BBB63 (4199), La Porte, Indiana, USA Dec 13, 2008 Tap: Golden clean hue with small frothy head and very good lace upon the pint glass. The aroma has notes of grassy and resiny fresh hops, peppery and biscuity as well but a tad weak. The taste has a nice clean hop profile that is a tad fruity and piney. Malty background with a spicy finish. The mouth feel is biting at first with a mostly clean finish with some metallic notes. Very good body for the style. Well done take on the APA and far better than Back Roads other two pale ales by a mile.
