On tap at the brewpub in Vista. Pours a clear, golden colored body with a thick, two-fingerwidth, dense, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a lot of layered lacing. Nice looking IPA. Aroma is mainly a sweet, floral citrus, but definitely not as high on the IBU scale as some of these other west coast IPA’s. Similar flavor with a more noticeable earthy hoppiness. Moderate lingering bitterness with a juicy citrus twinge. Palate is medium bodied and dry. Overall, a pretty standard IPA with enough flavor to get by. Pretty typical west coast tasting IPA, but not quite as aromatic as the best. Not bad.
