Commercial Description:
Cal Azul-México cerveza agria, a light pilsner style beer brewed with blue corn and lime leaves ( harvested from my own tree) and infused with roasted carlsbad limes during secondary fermentation. A refreshing beer that has the mild roasted sweetness of fresh corn paired with the natural tartness of lime. In my opinion there’s nothing more offensive than destroying a perfectly fine, or in some cases a perfectly flawed, beer by dumping a slice of fruit into the pint or bottle. In a way this is my protest to such a shameful practice and I’m just sorry the big guys got to it before I could. 4..5% abv

The Lime flavor isn’t too overwhelming, and it blows the socks off the major label’s variations.

Adam sampled the Azul straight out of the tank at B.S. Vista. Pours a golden/straw hue with an very interesting lime accented nose. Taste is light with a bit of sweetness (maybe from the blue corn used) and a good solid pils flavor topped off by an awesome lime presence throughout. Finishes crisp and clean, would be an excellent beer to pair with any Mexican entrees, but also a very suitable session beer!!!
